Ryker Brandt loved wine from his first taste of a brilliant Châteauneuf-du-Pape while working in an award winning bistro in Lawrence, Kansas with a 5000 bottle cellar. That taste caused him to pack his bags and head West, first on a road trip, and then as a destination when he found a landing place in Santa Cruz, California, otherwise known as the Central Coast of California Wine. Ryker showed up at a winery during harvest and begged for a job crushing grapes and doing punch downs at a large winery. That was the start of his cellar work, and his professional wine making career.
