The property that the winery and brewery now sits on was once a functional hog farm. The land was purchased at an auction by Joe Kraus and the front vineyard was planted in 2009 with 5 varietals. The back vineyard was then planted in 2011, adding on to the now 1,500 total grapevines on the property. The brick house opened as the first tasting room in August 2014, where we served just wine. We expanded later by adding the brewery with 3 beers to choose from in 2017. The barn was finished and refurbished to function as both the wine and beer making facility, as well as an event room with its own bar- where there are now 12 beer taps and a large space to fit around 125 people. We also have outdoor seating with a fire pit, grill and band stage where we encourage you to come join us for a night!
