Van Loben Sels Cellars Claimed

van Löben Sels Cellars is a family business and has been for generations. The proprietors, Jim and Kristina, are both dedicated winemakers who met at the University of California at Davis. They graduated with a passion for their work, and for each other; he with a degree in Agricultural Economics with an emphasis on Viticulture, she with a degree in Fermentation Science. Their partnership allows for Jim to focus on the fruit in the vineyard while Kristina devotes herself to the wine making process.

More than forty years after the original van Löben Sels release in California, Jim, Kristina, and their three children are carrying on the traditions of their families and the industry with the re-introduction the van Löbel Sels label. Just as their family roots took hold in Washington State, so did those of their prized vines, culminating in the release of three “new” wines that are not necessarily so new after all.
