Reustle-Prayer Rock Vineyards

Before the vineyard and winery, Stephen and Gloria Reustle owned a successful marketing company that taught them the value of providing “world-class” product to a loyal customer base. Upon arriving in the Umpqua Valley of Oregon, Stephen carefully mapped out 40 acres of vineyards to be planted. Each variety, clone, and rootstock was carefully selected to match the diverse hillside soil and unique micro-climates. Using only fruit grown from the estate’s Prayer Rock and Romancing Rock Vineyards, winemaking is kept to small lots preserving the disctintiveness of each varietal and clone. 100% Estate grown and produced on 40 acres of hillside vineyards. 2017 Northwest Winery of the Year, Reustle – Prayer Rock Vineyards is located on steep, south-facing slopes in a cool hidden valley of the Umpqua. The vineyards’ varied soil and climate produce a dense yet delicate richness adding to the wine’s complexity. Gentle handling at all stages of vinification help produce small lots of ultra-premium wine that express the personality of the vineyard.
