Description

Once upon a time, in another valley far away, Ron & Linda planted 52 Cabernet Sauvignon “hobby” vines alongside their driveway in the east hills of Napa. It was done as a lark having been given some vines left over from a vineyard planting. Little did they dream that grape stomping in the basement would lead to the purchase of an old farm in 1998 just outside of a sleepy town called Carlton. A lot of blood, sweat and tears later, they announced the release of their first vintage – 89 cases of lovingly hand-crafted 2003 Pinot noir wine. In 2011 daughter Rebecca also discovered the joys of tractor driving and grape wrangling and now, along with her Airedale and resident greeter “Fizzy”, have joined the farm taking operations to the next level. For those of you who have listened to the tales of land clearing woes, shared the euphoria of seeing the first plants go into the ground, patiently listened to us extol the virtues of newly learned vineyard practices and shared progressive vintages with us, we humbly say “Thank You!” For those of you just joining our venture, Welcome and we hope that you find our Estate wines and the Dirt to Glass experience we are so fortunate to share as exciting as we do. Cheers!
