Jaramillo Vineyards grew out of one small town boy’s dream of being something bigger, flying higher, and reaching for “whatever was most difficult.” Growing up in a small New Mexico rural community, Robert Jaramillo’s first dream was to fly planes. As a young boy, he raised chickens, sold eggs, bucked hay and by age 15, became the New Mexico’s largest producer of research rabbits. Cobbling together income from these endeavors, Robert purchased flying lessons and by age 16, became a licensed pilot.
