Description

Depoe Bay Winery, established in 1999, produces wines from the celebrated Willamette Valley in Oregon, renowned for world-class Pinot Noir, Chardonnay & Pinot Gris. We have a resident Gray Whale pod in the area that earned us the moniker of “Whale Watching Capital.” We are surrounded by the dramatic natural beauty of the Oregon Coast, making us a spectacular place to visit year-round, whether for Fishing and Whale Watching in Summer or Storm Watching in Winter. We are Nehalem Bay Winery’s second location.

Depoe Bay Winery’s beginnings are rooted in 1974 when Nehalem Bay Winery was established in the old Mohler Creamery, which produced cheese, milk and butter from 1909-1959 as part of the Tillamook Creamery Co-op. What began with Nehalem Bay Winery’s first release of blackberry wine on April 1st, 1974, quickly expanded to include traditional whites and reds. The Winery became well-known for its annual summer concert series featuring blues, bluegrass and reggae artists, as well as its historic grounds nestled in a green valley where Oregon Highway 53 meets the Coast Highway (101).
