Chateau Margene

Chateau Margene is a producer of luxury Cabernet Sauvignon & Cabernet Franc sourced excusively from their estate vineyard in the Creston District AVA. They also produce Pinot Noir and Chardonnay sourced from the Santa Lucia Highlands under their Mooney Family label and port-style wines under the ROXO Cellars label. Their offerings are 100% direct-to-consumer and only available at their two tasting rooms or as a member of their allocation program.

Now in their 22nd year, proprietors Michael & Margene Mooney began the fulfillment of their dream to plant a vineyard, build a winery and establish their home in 1997. The family took up residence on the property in the Summer of 1998 and planted the estate vineyard in the Fall of 1998, where they still live today. Total production is 2,500 – 3,000 cases annually.
