Enthusiasm for wine got us into the wine business, but luck and perseverance were responsible for finding those first ten, beautiful acres, six of which we replanted into Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. We wanted to learn the craft from the ground up. From the start our philosophy was to do the work ourselves first before we instructed others. This meant surveying the vineyard, installing the trellis system, planting, and the work dictated by the growing season.
