Golden Handle Project

Jason grew up in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and went to college at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he brewed his first beer in 2001. He lived in the Philadelphia area for several years and has traveled the world to gain an appreciation for a variety of beer styles. He moved to Spokane in 2014 to work in neuroscience research. Jason wanted to start a brewery that benefits a greater good in promoting social awareness, biomedical research and education.

Tim is native to the Inland Pacific Northwest, and moved to Portland for 30+ years at the start of craft beer movement. Tim recently relocated to back to the Spokane area to start a brewery. Tim has been brewing beer for over 20 years and believes in strong communities, social causes, and quality beer.

Tim and Jason met through a weekly brewing group in 2016 and immediately began brewing together. Their brewing philosophy is “art meets science” and “ingredients make the difference.” They let the critters (yeast) do the talking.
