Cedar Crest began as a winery in beautiful Manton, CA. Jim and Corey Livingston had retired to Manton in 2005 and soon got the bug to grow wine grapes in the bucolic Manton Valley AVA. After many years of successful events at the Manton Winery, it was clear that serving beer along with award-winning wines would be a winning combination. The Livingston’s sons; Mark and Tim soon collaborated on getting a small brewing operation started at the existing winery. Tim’s years of homebrewing experience, and Mark’s masterful winemaking skills made a great combination and soon, Cedar Crest was producing quality beers in Manton.
Cedar Crest fans Kate and Brandon Grissom helped open our first Cedar Crest tasting room in Red Bluff in 2012, now doing business as Enjoy Local, the bar still carries our fine beers and wines.
In August 2019, we opened our fantastic downtown Redding brewery and pub. Truly a family affair, all members of the Livingston family are active participants in the success of the brewery. We hope to see you soon at the best little brewery in Redding!
