Batch Brewing Co – Funk Room

Batch Brewing Company’s dedicated sour beer “funk room” and taproom in the North End is making headway towards an opening. A representative for the brewery tells Eater the second location’s event space and brewery at 2841 East Grand Blvd. could open this fall. The wildly popular Corktown microbrewery acquired the 5,000-square-foot former Chap Automotive Distributors building roughly a year ago. The location is expected to roughly double Batch’s brewing capacity. The “funk room” portion allows Batch to brew and age sour beers and ciders using wild yeast fermentation. The taproom will primarily be geared towards events.
