The 2016 Sarah Case Chardonnay displays aromas of Honeycrisp apple, Asian pear, pineapple and honeysuckle with a hint of brioche. These juicy notes of tropical and stone fruit continue on the palate and are supported by notes of vanilla bean and brown sugar. The mouthfeel is unctuous and rich while still having a nimble crispness that keeps the wine lively while exhibiting an impressively intense taste. The finish is smooth with a creamy texture from extended lees contact and barrel aging which gives way to zesty acidity that finished the wine clean and refreshing. Sarah Case is named after Robb Talbott’s oldest daughter.
