Chef Budi Kazali was born in Indonesia and grew up in Santa Barbara, CA. Always an enthusiastic eater, Budi first started cooking for his roommates in college as a way of avoiding washing dishes! He enjoyed cooking for friends and family so much he went on to attend culinary school and work his way through the kitchens of some of the best restaurants in the East and West Coasts. In 2004, Budi and his wife Chris purchased Ballard Inn. Since then, he has won several awards and been voted among the best chefs in California’s Central Coast. Which is why he has cemented The Gathering Table as one of the most distinguished restaurants in the area.
