Sawyer Cellars

It all started in 1984 with simple visit to Napa Valley. From that first visit, the love affair with Napa Valley began for Charles Sawyer and his wife Joanne. It was the beginning of many wonderful friendships and the start of a journey into the art of winemaking. The Sawyers attended the Napa Valley Wine Auction in 1985 and met many growers, vintners and winemakers and found them to be open, friendly, and helpful. In 1991, the first Sawyer Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon was made – all 120 cases.
