The Ferraro Family began growing popular Red Wine grapes in the Commune di Montemagno province of Piedmont located in the Northwest corner of Italy in the late 1800s. The Piedmont region is located in the foothills of the Alps, forming its border with France and Switzerland. Today, the Ferraro Family continues this tradition with our lush and full flavour wines. We build on this foundation of heritage on the Nickson family land and unique attributes of our vineyards in the Umpqua Valley. With almost 4 acres of Pinot Noir thriving in Roseburg vineyards, the Ferraro Family enjoyed their first harvest in 2009. While a few peers felt that this Pinot Noir would be a bit too young, it proved to be a delicious vintage that was smoky and complex. Within the following year, more grapes were sourced from southern and eastern Oregon, and more lush varietals were added to the Family’s line-up of featured wines.
