Estate 1856

Located in the heart of the Dry Creek Valley (Sonoma County, California), Estate 1856 is a boutique, family-owned winery specializing in small, hand-crafted lots of estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Petit Verdot. Our winemaker Janice Schmidt crafts exquisite Bordeaux Blends. In just our second year of production, her 2010 Bordeaux Blend won the coveted SWEEPSTAKES RED WINE at the Sonoma County Harvest Faire, the top wine competition in Sonoma County. Our wines continue to be honored with numerous Best of Class, Double Gold and Gold awards at national and international wine competitions.
