Several factors combine to make Sangiacomo Roberts Road Vineyard one of the best Chardonnay sites in northern California: well drained soils, clonal diversity, and the climate.
Coastal influence shines through our Sangiacomo Roberts Road Chardonnay with great fruit and acid balance. The moderate climate of the 2016 growing season produced small clusters and low yields for concentrated flavors and length. A combination of new, once-used and neutral french oak barrels were used during fermentation. The wine displays light tropical fruit, ripe apple and pear finishing with great structure, richness and just the right finish.
