ZeLUS Beer Company

Founded in January of 2015; Zelus is the brainchild of Geoffrey Pedder– a resident of Dover, MA and formerly of Surrey, UK just south of London. The concept for Zelus was initially conceived from his own competitive nature as an active runner, swimmer and cyclist. After competing in countless events and being presented a beer that was either tasteless and watered down or a craft beer that is too heavy; Geoff wondered if it was possible to create a beer that could fill that void in the beer market. Enter Jon Goldstein, PhD- chief brewing and science officer, who began advising Zelus in February 2015. With a career in biochemistry and cell biology, Jon could apply his scientific knowledge to his passion for brewing beer. As an active runner himself this partnership made perfect sense. Robin Pedder, the creative mind behind Zelus has also worked alongside her husband Geoffrey from the start. With a background in design (more specifically product design and illustration) she brings her expertise to the visuals of Zelus illustrating all of our labels and designing apparel & accessories. She maintains an active lifestyle through yoga, running, hiking and mountain biking. Chris Dyson joined the Zelus team in 2019, with a background in marketing and web design and a passion for sports he works by day on our website and social media and by night as a bartender in our taproom. Our passion for beer and physical activity drive constant innovation within our brand to provide our customers with big flavor and low gravity that is crafted for your active lifestyle.
