OUR STORY.

In 1999 we bought our first home, a neglected 1860’s Victorian nestled in a neighborhood in Hunterdon County walking distance to a historic downtown. Little did we know that 20 years later it would set the stage for selecting the site for our craft brewery.

The house needed attention and we spent years restoring it, but it was worth it, and aside from our own kids accomplishments there’s nothing that we were more proud of.  We loved that house and the downtown local feel, walking for ice cream, and frequently running into friends and parents of our kids classmates. The front porch of the house wasn’t set far back from the sidewalk, it was commonplace to have friends and strangers stopping for a quick conversation. So when we made the decision to open a craft brewery we knew that it had to be Main Street style, embedded in a community rich in history and culture, with historic buildings, homes and sites. It had to be a place where people would stop by not only for a beer, but for conversation. To catch up with friends, old and new.

When we heard of a vacancy in High Bridge it was right in our wheelhouse. A location on Main Street (perfect) in a town rich in history (perfect-er) with a welcoming and active community (perfect-est).
