Corn Coast Brewing Company started as a crazy idea in 2010 when college friends began talking about turning a passion for homebrewing into a full-time business. At UNL we met while participating in the NROTC unit and went on to serve in the Navy and Marine Corps. Lincoln has always been a “home base” for us during those years on active duty, so we knew when we decided to open a brewery we were going to do it in Lincoln, NE.
The name Corn Coast began as a joke as we were scattered around the country; the 3 of us living on different coasts: the west coast, east coast and gulf coast. When returning home for the holidays we would endearingly refer to home as the “corn coast” which eventually just became part of our lexicon.
