Description

Built from stone and metal in 1892, the Stronghouse remains the last surviving intact building in Telluride’s historic Four Corners corridor. For decades it was a bustling warehouse supplying the town with hay and produce. The Stronghouse underwent two years of extensive restoration and renovation to bring back its historical charm and reopen as a brew pub in 2020. The stone walls, once painted white, were restored to their original patina. An 1880s mahogany Brunswick bar, originally from a saloon in St. Louis, was brought in and topped with a 1909 brass cash register. On either side of the bar, a large manual lift and oversize scale remain in place as they did a century ago.
