Our company officially opened in 2013, but it was years of imagining and planning that helped us get here.
It started with a home-brew kit and a plan to move to our vacationland. After our first trip to Maine in 1993 when we found our first micro-brewery we knew we wanted to call Maine home. So in 1999, we packed our minivan with clothing, one box of Christmas ornaments, the kid and his dog and we headed for Blue Hill.
Wow, what a change! But we fell in love with our little rural peninsula with its rich history of fishing, boat building, and farming.
Al continued to home-brew and founded our local home-brew club and we opened our home to community suppers and word spread about the delicious brews we where serving up. In 2012 we started Maine’s first and nations third CSB “community supported brewery”. We sold enough shares and ran a successful Kickstarter to fund our opening!
