The story of Radiant Pig begins in a small Brooklyn apartment when former art school student and homebrewing fanatic Rob Pihl, decided to merge his two greatest passions: art and craft beer. In 2013 Radiant Pig was launched, with the name being a mashup of these two passions, in addition to being the founders initials.
‘Radiant’ is inspired by Jean-Michel Basquiat, who was dubbed the ‘Radiant Child’ by art critic Rene Ricard. Pig is an acronym that stands for ‘people in gastropubs’, a nod to our customers and anyone else who shares a love for craft beer.
Radiant Pig creates innovative, high-quality brews with colorful names and labels reminiscent of the street art found throughout NYC.
