Executive chef and owner Sylvain Montassier came to the US from the Loire Valley in France 25 years ago to bring his culinary talents to the states. At the young age of 13, he worked his first job ever in a restaurant and instantly knew he wanted to be completely immersed in the culinary arts. After graduating culinary school in France, chef Sylvain spent three years in the French Alps apprenticing for well-known chefs where he developed his skill and harnessed a work ethic that would be respected for the rest of his career.
From Paris to London to San Francisco, Montassier worked all over the world cultivating his culinary techniques. Cooking on the coast at some of the most prestigious restaurants, he met his wife and co-owner of Pacifica Brewery Helen Nasser, a Pacifica native who spent her entire life living and supporting her hometown. Together, their vision to bring coastal cuisine and house brews came to life. A full restaurant, cocktail bar, and on-site brewery make Pacifica Brewery a unique establishment that not only Pacificans have been long awaiting, but a destination for all in the Bay Area.
