Oyster House Brewing Company history dates back to the ’90’s when I had a dream of one day starting my own brewpub.
The vision was the result of a passion for home brewing great beer and the desire to serve people both beer and food. Years went by as I served beer and food at The Lobster Trap in Asheville, NC.
One day, I had a conversation with our Chef and GM, Tres Hundertmark. I told him I wanted to create a unique and delicious beer to sell exclusively in the restaurant. I wanted to brew the perfect Oyster Stout.
It seemed like a bizarre idea at the time, but with a little research found that it wasn’t unheard of and actually was quite delicious.
