Since its inception, Cigar City Brewing has been singularly focused on producing the most consistent, highest-quality ales and lagers possible. Critical to this mission is our Quality Assurance and Quality Control programs, as well as our state-of-the-art Beer Lab. CCB has invested inordinate resources in personnel and equipment in our Lab which currently utilizes three full time employees to analyze our beer using PCR thermocyclers, alcolyzers, cellometers, discrete photometric analyzers and myriad other equipment. Every single batch of Cigar City Brewing beer is analyzed for color, flavor, bitterness, aroma, carbonation, stability and other quality-affecting attributes, and every single batch of Cigar City Brewing beer is tested for “true-to-brand” qualities by a sensory panel of tasters with combined decades of experience in professional beer assessment settings.
