Barry Boyd, Founder

Barry Boyd is a retired Coastie, having served from 1985 – 2014. During that time, Barry began homebrewing in 2003 and discovered a love for creating delicious craft brew. After 29 years of dedicated service in the U.S. Coast Guard, Barry retired with the dream to start a brewery that was founded on community, family, and a passion for creating traditional, enjoyable beer. And so the vision for Barley Naked Brewing Co. was born. In 2017, Barry volunteered to work at Black Cap Brewery in Pennsylvania and was mentored under Greg Bentley who, to this day, has a beer named after him at Barley Naked. In October of 2018, Barry opened Barley Naked to the Stafford community and has enjoyed meeting all of his Barley Naked Friends.
