Michael Poulson began brewing beer in 1994, in his kitchen with the support of Caroline, his wife of 23 years. Fermenting in five gallon carboys, finding hops, malt and equipment, or improvising when nothing was available. Testing recipes on family and neighbors, the beer got better and better. When he was asked to bring his beer to parties and weddings, he realized he had something special.
Everyone thought his beers were good, so Michael and Caroline decided to enter some home brew competitions from the West Coast to the middle of the United States. Between 2012 and 2015 they entered brewing competitions, consistently taking home 3rd, then 2nd, then 1st, until we were winning best of show. Once they won 1st place three times, they stopped changing their recipes.
