Like many great bands or tech start ups, Lo Rez began in a garage – we were just two dudes riffing on new recipes, inspired by classics such as Duvel and Old Rasputin. We brewed traditional styles that we wanted to drink and introduce to our friends and neighbors.
As our skills grew, so did our appreciation for creating something tangible that brought people together. Our desires eventually outgrew our garage, and after 3 years of training, planning and scheming, we found a space in Pilsen and broke ground in 2015.
We wanted to get back to making things that didn’t need a thumbs up or lots of followers to know it worked. Making beer allowed us create something with our hands that also connected us to the community. We went low-res as a way to go back to old world craftsmanship, connect friends and neighbors, and make traditional beer for a modern world.
