Koo Loo Loo means “bird” in the Maidu Native American language, symbolizing peace and purity in their culture. The Sutter Buttes of California were once the home of Native Americans who epitomized the concept of “organic” by leaving no lasting impact on the land. The smallest mountain range in the world, the Sutter Buttes today are a small collection of ancient volcanic cones in the middle of California, scores of miles from any other mountains or hills. The vines are grown on these volcanic slopes, producing 100% organic Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes of outstanding quality and flavor. Koo Loo Loo Old Vine Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon present lovely, balanced flavors from the volcanic soil, and contain lower levels of sulfites.
