Harold would create homemade reds when he was based in China Lake in the early 70’s-yes, he was a rocket scientist. In 1981, they built TKC and made the first for sell batch of Zinfandel, while still keeping his day job and commuting 460 miles one way each month to work at the winery—vacation they called it.
