Founded in 2015, James Charles Winery is the embodiment of the Bogaty’s family story. We make old-world style wines in the heart of Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley AVA, which strongly resembles classic winemaking regions in France. Our wines are bold, full-bodied and complex. Founded in 2015 by the Bogaty family (of Veramar Vineyard acclaim), winemaker Justin Bogaty makes Old-World-style wines like Viognier, Riesling, Chardonnay, Fumé Blanc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Port-style white dessert wine and Bordeaux-style blends, as well as wines inspired by New World winemaking, like Syrah and Zinfandel.
